Nicole Wilson (nee Green), Health Works NSW Founder and Occupational Therapist

Nicole has 15 years’ experience as an Occupational therapist in various clinical areas such as neurological, orthopedic and occupational rehabilitation, aged care, paediatrics and in the disability sector. She has developed her clinical skills through various challenging OT and management roles within both NSW and working overseas.

Moving into the disability & corporate sector (NDIS and Employment services) Nicole has developed her knowledge and experience of the NDIS, worker’s compensation and CTP schemes. She enjoys providing internal injury management advice to work cover agents and assisting with learning and development for severe injury case managers.

Nicole’s experience in severe injuries such as traumatic brain injury and spinal injury has allowed her to encompass her clinical skills to provide occupational therapy and case management service to clients with these injuries. She has built a strong network with community agencies throughout her career and can co-ordinate and monitor services for clients with extremely challenging behaviors and complex clinical needs.

Nicole is a highly motivated occupational therapist who is committed to delivering exceptional quality of service to all stakeholders, through efficient communication and collaboration. Nicole is passionate about helping participants under the NDIS and clients in the community to achieve independence that is functional with all the things they need and want to do on a daily basis. Nicole strongly believes people should not have to travel to major cities to access the best therapy services available. Her late brother was profoundly disabled. With this personal experience, Nicole understands how disability affects the entire family and knows first-hand the additional strain caused with travelling to access therapy. Nicole will go above and beyond to ensure that all clients can the best OT services locally.

Nicole also works closely with many corporate organisations to deliver programs and services tailored to their needs with a strong focus on outcomes, whilst considering all reasonable and necessary guidelines at a cost competitive price.

When not working as an OT, Nicole is a member of riding for disabled and water-skiing for the disabled, combining her love for sport, the outdoors and people.

Nicole is an active member of OT Australia and APHRA. Nicole is registered NDIS provider, RMS Driving Assessor and an advanced seating specialist. Nicole is also accredited to conduct pre-employment medicals, drug and alcohol screens and hearing assessments.

Simone Walsh, Senior Social Worker

With a masters in Forensic Mental Health, Simone has all the skills and key contacts for driving outcomes for all our complex case management and community mental health programs. Simone works with clients with a variety of needs and focuses on social inclusion and community engagement.

Emily Evans 

Emily is an accredited Occupational Therapist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Register Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA). Emily has also recently completed her accreditation for NATA Drug and Alcohol testing.

Emily joined Health Works in 2019 and has  obtained clinical experience working across various  OT areas offering comprehensive Occupational Therapy services that address disabilities in the NDIS sector, corporate health services including drug and alcohol testing, pre employment and ergonomic assessments.

Working with Health Works, Emily, has and will continue to provide services for businesses and individual clients with diverse needs, including:

  • Neurological conditions
  • Orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Psychological and mental health injuries, including physical and intellectual disabilities
  • Pain management
  • Ageing
  • Palliative care

Emily has a strong interest in evidence-based practice and the Health Works Team all take pride in their profession. Emily’s passion for client-centred approaches to Occupational Therapy is evident in her holistic interaction with people, resulting in high-quality, meaningful and sustainable solutions for each client. Anjolene Brandt

Anjolene Brandt is a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist, originally from South Africa.

She has extensive experience in child development, rehabilitation of neurological disorders, hand therapy, mental health, and community empowerment.

Anjolene studied at the University of Stellenbosch near Cape town and started her career in a rural setting in central South Africa.

With more than eight years of experience in the rural area Anjolene has learnt to work with challenges such as inaccessibility to services, budget constraints, lack of equipment and patients unaware of their rights.

Her passion for the profession stems from wanting to help people to reach their full potential. Through empowerment all people can become independent and have self-worth.

Anjolene is excited to be working with Health Works and has enjoyed working alongside the team completing pre-employment and corporate health services as well as providing individualised care to NDIS clients in the central west.

Dr Tim Low – MBBS FRACGP BResEc

Dr Tim Low is a highly specialised Sports and musculoskeletal Doctor having joined the Health Works Team as a contractor in 2016 to complete medical pre-employment assessments and workplace injury medical services. Dr Low, together with Health Works NSW provide independent medical services, delivering definitive information to enable optimal decisions by clients in the insurance, legal, corporate and government sectors.

Dr Low completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle in 2010. Subsequently he completed his Internship and Residency at Orange Health Service and then went on to complete his GP training with practices in Orange and Molong. During his GP training Dr Low has completed special skills training in Sports Medicine and Occupational Health.

Dr Low is originally from West Wyalong and lived in Orange from 1994-96. He moved away for further schooling and University and has been living back in Orange since the start of 2011. Dr Low’s wife has her own Human Resources business in Orange and they have 2 young children.

His other interests include watching sport especially live sport, travel and spending time with family and friends.

Georgie MacInnes – Exercise Physiologist

Georgie MacInnes is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and is a member of ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia). Georgie graduated from the University of Sydney in 2005 after completing a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Georgie has predominantly worked within the workplace and occupational rehabilitation industry since graduating and has extensive experience within this sector involving the facilitation of return to work programs under the WorkCover Commcare and CTP frameworks. In addition, she has experience within the workplace health industry including manual handling training, ergonomics assessments and pre employment medicals.

As an accredited Exercise Physiologist Georgie has the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities.

Georgie is based in the Health Works Dubbo office and has lived and work within the central west region of NSW since 2007 and knows firsthand the unique challenges faced by employers, practitioners, clinicians and workers within these regions.

Georgie is a dedicated, caring and passionate Exercise Physiologist with high-level commitment to her profession and clients in her care.
